Breakout Coin Closed Crowdsale Has Successfully Raised 700 BTC

Breakout Coin, branded as the world's first "multi-currency" payment system, has ended its crowdfunding campaign, successfully raising over 700 bitcoins—currently worth close to $456,225.

The crowdsale started on June 13, 2016, and ran until July 7. It offered a 25% bonus for buyers of Breakout Coins (BRK) in the first hour, followed by a further 15% bonus for the first week.

The Breakout Coin team said those two offers helped to "skyrocket the early coin sales."

BRK powers the Breakout Chain, a blockchain dedicated to gaming. The project team boasts a diverse group of experts in gaming and cryptocurrency, along with professionals from the gambling industry.

The project launched a free-to-play poker website open to players worldwide, with winnings paid out in BRK. Breakout Gaming plans to launch an eSports site on July 15 and a full digital game store in August.

Breakout Coin co-founder Paul Kim said they were delighted by the community's response, which acknowledges the bright future for this secure blockchain token in online gaming. They are eager to continue building momentum from the crowdsale.

As well as BRK, the Breakout team also administers Breakout Stake and SisterCoin, which are associated with the BRK crowdsale and BRK miners.

The team is developing a "permissive smart contract" project. This contract closely mirrors traditional ones by refraining from executing them directly, instead acting as a mediator for transactions on the Breakout Chain.
