Breakout Coin, who is branded is a revolutionary “first ‘multi-currency’ payment system in the world,” have ended their crowdfunding campaign, and have successfully raised over 700 bitcoins, currently close to $456,225.
The crowdsale started on June 13, 2016 and ran up till July 7, it offered a 25% bonus for the people who bought Breakout Coins (BRK) in the first hour of the sale. The offer was followed by further 15% bonus for the first week of the crowdsale.
The Breakout Coin team said that those two offers helped to “skyrocket the early coin sales.”
BRK is the token that is powering the Breakout Chain, a blockchain program which is dedicated to gaming. The team on the project boasts a “diverse group that consists of experts at gaming and cryptocurrency,” together with people who have experience in the professional gambling industry.
The project launched a free-to-play poker website which is open for players from all over the world, and the winnings are paid out in BRK. Breakout Gaming also plans to launch an eSports site on July 15, and in August a “full digital game store”.
Breakout Coin co-founder Paul Kim has said that they were delighted at the response of the community as it acknowledged the bright future for the secure blockchain token for use on online gaming, and that they are eager to continue building the momentum for the duration of the crowdsale.
As well as the BRK, the Breakout team also administers Breakout Stake and SisterCoin, who are associated with the BRK crowdsale and BRK miners.
The team is also involved in a smart contract project, they are busy developing what they have called a “permissive smart contract,” this type of contract is said it will closely mirror the workings of traditional contracts, it will do that by refraining from executing contracts, and instead act as a mediator of the transactions that are performed by users of the Breakout Chain.
You can read more about the permissive smart contracts in a white paper at wp.breakoutcoin.com.
